Dr. Stein was born and raised in Chattanooga. He had a passion for helping others and enjoyed working with his hands, so he decided to become a dentist and have the best of both worlds. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Memphis in 1978 and opened his own dental practice a year later. He has since been providing quality dental care to the East Tennessee and North Georgia communities. Dr. Stein is pleased to have recently celebrated 30 years in private practice, which means you'll be treated by someone who's "seen it all" in dentistry.

Dr. Stein is married and has 3 children and 1 grandchild (all native Chattanoogans) and truly enjoys spending time with them. His hobbies include traveling, reading, and outdoor grilling. He's probably one of the very few dentists in the world who does not play golf.

Dr. Stein believes that every person has a responsibility to the community, so he contributes his own time and energy to many worthy causes, including the Ronald McDonald House, Way to Happiness Foundation, Alhambra Shriner's Association, Citizen's Commission on Human Rights, Georgia Public Broadcasting (WTCI), and Narconon Drug Education Center. In addition, Dr. Stein and his staff have donated pro-bono dental care to individuals and basic dental products to volunteers and missionaires for the past few years.
